Matthew Mitchell was born on September 1, 1981 to Bishop Lonnie and Marion Mitchell in Panama City, Florida. Pastor Mitchell was educated in the Bay County School District and received his high school diploma from Rutherford High School in 2000. He continued his education at Gulf Coast Community College where he studied business management. Then he attended City Vision University where he studied Urban Mission.

His religious education began at his father’s church The New Beginning Assembly of the Saints Church where he learned how to be a servant for the Kingdom of God and the word of God was illuminated more to him. He realized he had been anointed by God to play the drums at the age of 10 during a Friday night prayer service. He has been playing the drums since. He began his ministry through teaching Sunday School and Bible Study.

On the second Sunday of June in 2006 he preached “I had to get here.” He continued his ministerial studies under the tutelage of his father Bishop Mitchell. He was ordained as an Elder in 2009.

In April 2009 God called him to the City of Blountstown. He began his ministry by teaching bible study at the WT Neal Civic Center and after 6 months Fresh Start Assembly of the Saints Church held its first Sunday morning worship service the first Sunday in September of 2009. Since the first service, the church has experienced tremendous spiritual growth. In 2014 the church changed the name to Fresh Start Vision Ministries, Inc. The favor of the Lord rests upon this ministry as well as the life of Pastor Mitchell.

Pastor Mitchell resides in Panama City, Florida with his wife Min. Shameka Trice and God has blessed them with four children: Elijah, Mya, Niyah, and Faith.

Pastor Mitchell is a man of Faith, his hope and trust are in God. God has given him a vision and he strives to be in the will of God for his life and complete the vision that God has given Him.
